Here’s the deets👇🏼 A simple, inexpensive DIY anyone can do! DIY painted upholstery to look AND feel like leather🙌🏼. Yes, please. I got fabric softener at the dollar store and latex paint sample jars at Home Depot for $5 each. * Pick your leather colors and make sure one is darker but on the same paint swatch. * Mix 50u002F50 paint & fabric softener in a cup. * Paint on and let it dry. If your upholstery is stiff or really thick use a spray bottle with about 75% fabric softener & water and spray the upholstery before painting to get it damp. * You’ll probably need 2 coats. In the creases of the fabric brush in the darker paint and blend into the base color. * I played with the blending until I got it how I liked it. * The fabric softener really makes this feel and look like leather.
