Former Midland Youth Minister Corey White pleads guilty to child porn charges Warning – Material in the following story should be considered graphic. 33-year-old Corey White has pled guilty to one count of child porn charges during a status conferenceu002Fre-arraignment. White had plead not guilty to the charge back when he was indicted by a grand jury in November of 2023. After submitting his guilty plea to U.S. District Judge David Counts he was informed that the penalty he could face would be up to 10 years in prison, up to life of supervised release, a $25,000 max fine and a $100,000 special assessment fee. White is anticipated to be sentenced sometime in April of 2024. A former youth pastor for Redeemer Midland ,White was charged and arrested back in October of 2023 on one count of access with intent to view child sexual abuse materialsu002Fchild pornography materials stemming from a long investigation that began in March of 2022 in Nassau County in New York. The Nassau County Police Department, Special Victims Squad would eventually reach out to the Midland Police Department in early October advising that their investigation had led to the identification of White in one of several screen recordings engaging in sexual acts while watching child pornography related material. A search warrant would be obtained by the Midland Police Department on October 23, where White was detained and transported to the Midland Police Department for further questioning. During the interview with officers, White would inform them that he used Omegle to view sexual things and that he had an interest in incestuous pornography. White would also go on tell officers that he rarely sought out child sexual abuse material (CSAM) but would watch if another user on Omegle was showing or offered it.
